Gallery Wall

I've always had a thing for gallery walls. When we took our engagement pictures I knew that I wanted to display them in over sized frames. I am a fan of white ( shocker ) and saving money...so I went with the Ribba Ikea frames.

Shop for it here ( http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80243542/ )

The inside of the frame is 11 3/4 so I printed 12X12 prints from Costco and it fit perfectly.

Vittsjö Nesting Table Hack

I was loving gold coffee tables in all the home décor photos on Pinterest and Instagram BUT I was hating the prices. This is one of my favorite DIY projects-- mainly because I have been crushing on everything gold lately and because the price was right!!!

I bought the Vittsjö Nesting Table in black from Ikea for $59.99. The table also comes in white so you can choose which color you prefer.
Then I purchased 2 cans of The Rust-Oleum 11 oz. Specialty Metallic Spray Paint and started putting the tables together so that I could spray paint them. The 2 tables were very easy to put together and it was much easier spray painting them assembled.
After the tables were put together I put them in the living room just to make sure I wanted to spray paint them gold...maybe I'd like them in black?? (I have décor commitment issues)

BEFORE

I liked it in black...but I knew gold would make it look special and add that GLAM factor I was going for. ( Mr. Munch almost made the picture lol )

I didn't take pictures of me actually spray painting the tables because the lighting wasn't that great. I did two coats of spray paint and let it dry for 2 hours.

AFTER

I switched out the bottom shelf for a glass one. I measured the wood shelf that it came with and brought the measurements to a glass cutting shop and they cut it for me. It cost $40.00 for the glass and $59.99 for the two tables making this project $99.99!

Paint colors in our home

I get asked many questions on Instagram about my home so I figured it might be helpful if I start blogging about all the details and projects we have done. So, I've decided to start a blog about my home.

I wanted to dedicate my first blog post to paint color. The only paint we use in this house is Benjamin Moore. I always bought my paint from Home Depot, but after purchasing Benjamin Moore paint I will never go back. ( There is nothing wrong with buying your paint from Home Depot by the way.)

Benjamin Moore paint covers in fewer coats and is very thick so it doesn't run. It also is pricier but you're paying for better quality. I also love all the color choices Benjamin Moore offers. They have so many colors that I get anxiety when I need to choose one because they are all so beautiful!!!

Paint colors in our home
We have three  Benjamin Moore colors in our home right now:

 Living Room + Breakfast Nook

Stair Case + Upstairs Hallway

Kitchen + Dining Room + Master Bedroom

They look similar in the swatches but Edgecomb Gray actually looks more beige on my walls then gray. All three of these colors are very neutral and go with any décor which is why I chose them. I get bored very quickly and I rather change pillows, area rugs, and curtains than paint :)

Codes for the paint:
Edgecomb Gray / HC-173
Revere Pewter / HC-172
Collingwood / 859
